The new gear enchant system will use +12 stuff as fodder!!!!!!

My sob story: I had an old +12 dreadnaught weapon and two unenchanted ones. So just to save some feed, I decided to try the gear enchant system to enchant another dreadnaught weapon, then dismantle my old one. Turns out, the new gear enchant system used my old +12 weapon in my inventory as fodder!!
RIP the 1.5K T8 Feed that was in the weapon.
RIP the crystals that were attached to the weapon.
Now my "new" weapon is at +2, I have no feed, the crystals are gone. T.T

Is this a bug???

But this is partially my fault too because I didn't check what was in my inventory when it enchanted.

    No, sorry, wrong question.

    Do you people have the necessary IQ to understand you should read the patch notes?

    It's in your inventory, with the same name, it will use it, nobody cares if its +99, it'll still get used. Common sense.

    You couldn't even dismantle stuff before with crystals attached.

    I'm just saying, I was expecting another "message" or whatever telling you that you can't use this as fod like before, or that it straight up won't use it as fod.
    This is just a PSA that it doesn't.

    You mean you can use +12 equipment as enchant ingredient? and the result is only +1? Wow i haven't try that, thanks for the heads up.

    This sounds unintended. The whole purpose of being unable to dismantle avatar weapons was to avoid dismantling by accident. Now you can "dismantle" by accident actual endgame pieces lol. So they sorta "fixed" one problem, but created another one.

    rip your +12 and crystals. Send a ticket in and hopefully you can get it back

    This is wrong. The game doesn't let us trash stuff with crystals or sell enchanted stuff freely. As others pointed out go ahead and let enmasse sort it out. (And don't feed the troll.)

    I do at least think it would make perfect sense for it to have the same warning about crystals as you'd get if you tried to sell/destroy it or whatever. That would at least be enough to prevent this sort of accident. (And yeah, since it was in your inventory, try contacting support.)
