Returning Player and What Gear to Get

Hi everyone, I'm a returning player and I'm wondering where do I get started for my end game pvp and pve gear. I currently have full Mayhem armor set and a few pieces of conjunct pvp gear. Which I can see is totally low tier lol As undergeared as I am, which dungeons should I be starting to farm for gear or what pvp should I be doing for gear? Also which of those can I actually do as a 65 lancer with Mayhem armor. I'm looking for a place to start basically. Thanks for any help! :D

  • Best best, althought it'll take a small bit of time.
You should have a quest line starting on IoD, once you complete it it'll give you a full dreadnaught set(low tier gear for this patch)
After you get those you can start doing some CW to get mats to +12 them
The enchantment system has a changed a bit however there's a part that smiliar to how it used to be.
if you use an item with the same name to enchant you don't need any alk or feedstock. Otherwise feedstock is the new enchantment medium.
After you get them to +12 you can hop into demokrons factory for slaughter gear(mid tier gear this patch)
You can do anything this patch with that gear.

You could also farm IoD bams for tokens to get that gear.

If you prefer PvPing and want PvP gear you'll have to mindlessly farm battlegrounds to get the designs and mats to craft it(you can see all of these in the BG store)

Are you sure there's a quest line that gives Dreadnaught gear? o.O I've been reading a few guides and none have said there is a quest line that gives dreadnaught gear o.o

Yes, it's because it's something that just changed in this week's patch. Dreadnaught is basically "Starter" gear now (after the Idoneal gear you get just from hitting level 65).

Oooh ok, yea I just got the Idoneal set so I was wondering if that was what you meant lol Thanks for clearing that up! By the way what does "LoD" stand for? ._.

Oh it's an I as in Island of Dawn. You'll see a quest that has you talk to someone in Highwatch and then teleport to the Island of Dawn where you have to kill about 30 not-too-hard BAMs, and then you'll get the Dreadnaught gear set as part of the quest.

Ok, I got the gear, now to start enchanting it, but I have another question. What do I do with all my old gear that I have leveled up? Like my Mayhem set and Queensplate and those weapons from those relic pieces?

Keep your mayhem and regent stuff as sweet precious memories of different times, link them in chat when people question how OG you are. KNXX was a hot mess back in the day.

Avatar weapons you can just sell, since you can't dismantle them anymore.
