Does the store Chromaplasm Weapon Skin picture seem a bit like false advertising to anyone else...?

They don't really look like the picture.
1. They're a lot more vibrant in the above picture, where in reality, they're significantly less vibrant. Depending on weapon, they're mostly white with a little color to them.
2. The picture shows them each with multiple colors on them at once, rather than shifting. I feel like that should be added to the description so nobody ends up with something they didn't want. (Also if there were a version for each weapon with the full rainbow on it--also how the thumbnail looks--, I would be all over that)
I feel like the picture and/or description should probably be updated so nobody gets one and is upset it doesn't look how the store shows it. (Yes there's the ability to try things on beforehand, but still. And when I typed chromaplasm into the search bar, there was little convo about it, oddly. Like 2 things came up.)

Can't you try the weapon skins in the dressing room? You'd see firsthand what they're like.
Really? It was for me. My axe had some more color than the shuriken I saw a ninja wearing. That's how I know about the variety in vibrancy. I have not obtained skin.
False advertising is everywhere though... why should this be any different? (not supporting it, just pointing it out...)

it's a wasted feature and i am SO p.o'd about it.
here's a look at the reaper ones, they change through the rainbow and stay out like the ultraplasm, with the lightning arcs from master plasma weapons
FWIW, it actually was in the dressing room right away when I checked it yesterday, so although I agree with you in principle (it's often a problem) this time I think they got it, and the other guy just didn't notice them there at the time.
And yeah, I think that's really what it is. I don't think it's intended to be deceptive but they wanted to show that it can be multiple colors. And the vibrancy of it depends on the backdrop to some degree, even in game.
In the end, it's definitely good to check the dressing room to see how it will actually look on your character, and it's been that way with all the weapon skins. In the real in-game lighting, it's not the same as the model shots. (Heck, it annoys me more that your actual character doesn't look the same in-game as in the character creator, but that's a whole other discussion... lol )
