I don't think you will find much help here regarding this issue simply because to "fix" it without fiddling with your audio settings, you need to mod it. I would suggest posting a request at the mod subforum of the essentialmana forums.

Considering the massive DDOS attack on that DNS server a few days ago, I think it wouldn't be too far fetched a guess that maybe it is happening again. Try setting up opendns on your computer and see if that fixes it. https://use.opendns.com/

If that's a screenshot of the dungeon merchants, Spacecats is actually innocent. Cobaltdragon spawned those after the small BAM event he did. And then he couldn't despawn them so they're there until tuesday :tongue:
