(Quote) If it helps, I actually realized that after... >_>

(Quote) If so, I'd be curious to see their traceroute and for how long it lasts after the transition. I don't think it's like they chopped off the Savvis route cold, so my guess would be that it's just slow to propagate the change.

(Quote) They're magic guns! (Actually, I think that's canon...)

(Quote) Instead, they've committed to making a male brawler as the next release. And, well... Elins make them money, is why...

The latest word is that you won't be able to. At first there was some suggestion that they might allow it in EU, but apparently it won't be allowed there either. It wasn't allowed in K-TERA either (though in their case it was because it was time-l…

I'm glad they agreed to try this change and see how it goes. I am sure we will get some people with worse ping and lag spikes that didn't have it before, but probably it will be different people. Hopefully people with newfound problems will send t…

(Quote) Most likely, the cause is the same -- some giant spike in the route on the way to the server. Unfortunately, because of that, it might be hard to catch it on a traceroute, unless you're using a program that constantly monitors it.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but if everyone could either post their traceroutes (to diag.enmasse.com) here, or send them to [email protected], that's the data they are apparently looking for right now to narrow down this issue.

(Quote) The real problem is that it is neither your ISP (directly) or En Masse (directly). It's the backbone companies that connect the dots, and they're not directly responsible to either party. Basically, the entire problem is that there aren't …

(Quote) All indications so far point to major routing related problems that are impacting a lot of people (but not everyone). If you can post your traceroute to diag.enmasse.com, this may show where the problem is happening for you... but there app…

(Quote) Well for the DNS you can try this: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/ Otherwise you might be able to try the steps I outlined here: https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/comment/117660/#Comment_117660 If it's something i…

(Quote) Has TERA ever not been hosted in Chicago? I'm pretty sure it's at least been there since launch. In any case, the real problem is: who are you going to choose that's going to be better? CenturyLink just bought Level 3, so that's another m…

(Quote) As far as I know, there are no plans to remove anything, just to add new things. At least, no one has ever mentioned anything that would need to be removed, and I don't see why they would.
